Once you choose, submit your reference picture as a classwork grade before beginning.1/2/2021 0 Comments WELCOME 2021!! Week of Jan. 5-8, 2021. I hope you all enjoyed a couple of weeks of rest and time with family. Let's finish the semester STRONG!!There may be a little confusion about the website, but in reviewing, if you look at the page, down at the bottom left is a button that says PREVIOUS. Press on this button to go to previous pages. ALL the material that I have posted this semester can be found in this way. Also, please note that the assignments are given in Microsoft Teams and your work should be submitted there. I have updated the gradebook completely during the break. Please notify me via email when you submit an assignment on teams. That is the ONLY way I can keep up with 3 classes, individual students and numerous assignments online. MANY OF YOU HAVE MISSING ASSIGNMENTS AND YOUR GRADE REFLECTS THAT! OTHERS HAVE SUCCEEDED JUST AS THEY WOULD HAVE IN THE CLASSROOM. Please continue (or begin) to try your best and use creating art as a vehicle for self expression and personal growth! I'm proud of your work during this challenging time! Mrs. Mason

12/6/2020 0 Comments Week of Dec 7- 11, 2020 Continue working on your collage artworks. You are to do a small (paper sized artwork) and then you have the option to do a larger piece or a series of small pieces that work together. Collage is painting with paper!! ExperimentHere's a student work from last year. Look at the beautiful effects you can get using torn and cut paper.
11/29/2020 0 Comments Welcome back! Nov 30- Dec 4...working in the method of collage. You have a small (copy sized paper) collage artwork due as a project grade. This week we will continue with a larger piece or a series of artworks that work together using collage. We have materials available for you at the front office if needed. The packets include a magazine and various strips and pieces of scrapbook papers. Let me know if you need specific colors. You can use inexpensive glue sticks or modge podge to glue your pieces down. Use poster board or cardboard for a heavier base for you artwork. Paper can be torn or cut in strips. You can also trace an image onto tracing paper and cut around the tracing paper to get a clean edge. Have fun with the process of making beautiful art out of scraps! Be sure to fill the page out entirely, for a finished look. You can do the background first and add on top or you can work around your outline. Collage takes time to have a nice completed work... so be patient and I look forward to seeing what you create! Check out the student works from last year below!
